MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - After months of fending off would-be college basketball suitors by saying there is no other school for him but Kentucky, Olive Branch Basketball star D.J. Jeffries is now having second thoughts.

Jeffries announcing on his Twitter account Monday night that he is re-opening his recruitment.

The consensus 5-star recruit committed to Kentucky March 12, picking the Wildcats over Mississippi State and Alabama.

But this decommitment puts Memphis squarely in the picture.

Jeffries wrote that his decision to reopen recruiting would, "give me time to choose the right school for me to better myself educationally and athletically."

Jeffries made no bones about the fact he wants to play with his AAU teammate James Wiseman, the nation's top recruit from East High.

He's even openly tried recruiting Wiseman to Kentucky.

Wiseman, who played for Penny Hardaway last season at East, and on Hardaway's former AAU squad, listed Memphis and Kentucky among his top 8 schools.
