MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - A Shelby County sheriff's deputy is being treated over a possible exposure to fentanyl.
SCSO spokesman Earle Farrell said two deputies were inspecting a vehicle with hazmat suits.
When the two left for lunch, one of the deputies began to feel faint.
Crews are assisting the deputy for the possibility of an exposure to fentanyl, but his vitals are OK at this time.
Farrell said the deputy working with him was exposed to fentanyl last week and recognized the signs before alerting others.
