Elvis shirt returns to State Fair display

DALLAS (AP) - A blue silk shirt worn by Elvis Presley has been recovered after it was swiped from a State Fair of Texas exhibit.

Collector Bud Glass had issued an appeal, saying the thief had been caught on video but wouldn't be prosecuted if the shirt was returned. Glass values it at about ten-thousand dollars.

Glass says he got a call from a person claiming to be the thief, who said he was an Elvis fan who'd just gotten carried away.

Arrangements were made for the thief to mail the shirt anonymously, and the parcel was tracked to a Dallas post office and recovered.

Glass says it was in perfect condition and is back on display at the fair -- but with beefed up security.
