Vols Clausen Upset at Sanders Resignation

No matter that Notre Dame is next on the Schedule..

All the News on the Hill in Knoxville still revolves around the sudden resignation of Tennessee Offensive Coordinator Randy Sanders.

While Sanders gave an emotional speech yesterday in announcing his stepping down.

It's the Vols players who may be taking it the hardest...namely, quarterback Rick Clausen, who's been jerked in and out of the starting lineup.

Clausen says it's not fair to place all the responsibility on the coaches..

He says if Tennessee had not fumbled going into the end zone in the last 2-games, or if he, himself, hadn't thrown a couple of untimely interceptions, no one would be talking about any of this and the Vols would still be on track to an S.E.C. Title. Clausen says it's the players who've made the mistakes on the field.

UT must regroup quickly.

They travel to 8th ranked Notre Dame Saturday.
