State education officials put schools report card online

The 2005 Tennessee Report Card, which provides student achievement results for every school and district in the state, was released to the public today and is available online.

The report card, which comes out in November each year, contains information about student demographics, attendance, promotion, graduation, dropout rates, achievement scores, writing assessments, A-C-T results and a review of federal requirements under No Child Left Behind.

The report card is available at here.

Overall results for the state were released in August and showed that 85 percent of Tennessee schools met federally mandated marks for No Child Left Behind.
