Vote is today on gambling in Hot Springs, West Memphis

Voters in West Memphis and Hot Springs decide today on whether to allow race tracks in those cities to expand legal gambling.

At issue is whether Oaklawn Park and Southland Greyhound Park can add "electronic games of skill" to their lineups. The Arkansas Racing Commission would decide what games qualify, but a "yes" vote could mean the tracks would get video poker and other games.

Both tracks already offer Instant Racing, a game that allows players to bet on the results of historic races.

Turnout has been heavy in early voting and clerks expect a lot of traffic at polling sites today.

Polls will be open from 7am to 7pm.  We'll have the results tonight on Action News 5 at 10.
