Morning accident leaves one dead

A Mid-South mother of two is dead, and her husband is in critical condition, after a head-on collision with a dump truck.

The accident happened Tuesday morning as the truck was travelling down Millington Arlington Road. The blue sedan came from behind a stop sign on Dead Fall Road.

According to the Sheriff's Department, Felisa Hines, the driver of the Sedan, died instantly.  Her husband, Barry Hines, was in the passenger seat.  He was airlifted to the Med in critical condition.

The truck driver walked away with no injuries, but authorities said he was very shaken up.

The dumptruck was carrying nearly 23 tons of asphult.  Authorities at the scene said there was no way for the truck to stop in time when the car pulled out in front of it.
