Man shot during home invasion

Memphis police are searching for several suspects they say forced their way into a home and shot one man inside.

The home invasion happened in the 3900 block of Deer Creek early this morning.

The front door is still shattered where police say three men with handguns busted into this town home.

Naomi Goode was asleep upstairs - and tells us the men claimed to be FBI agents.

"I said if you all FBI, what you want and they told me to shut up and lay down," said victim Naomi Goode.

According to Goode, the suspects tried to force her, her son and his girlfriend to all lay down in one of the bedrooms. But Goode's son rushed to her defense.

"That's when my son jumped up 'cuz he told 'em, he said that's my momma. You don't do her like that," said Goode.

According to police, Goode's son was shot twice by the suspects, then tried to get away. The victim jumped from a second story window - breaking through the glass and landing on concrete.

Police say the suspects ransacked the house, but left after the shooting.

Goode says so far, it appears the suspects did not take anything from the house.

Tonight, the victim is listed in critical condition. No arrests have been made.
