MUS Wins Division 2-AAA
Last year Memphis schools swept all 3 classes in Division 2 and they went for a repeat Saturday in Murfreesboro. What a matchup in triple-A between the CBHS Purple Wave and MUS. The Brothers handed the Owls their only loss of the season with a last second touchdown, but MUS won when it counted.
Henry Harris breaks free for 43 yards in the first quarter down to the 2, and would score a few plays later for CBHS. MUS responds with a Tyler Massey touchdown from a couple yards out. This one is a real shootout, John Michael Skinner finds Dejon Mack over the middle for another Brother touchdown. Then Michael Park finds Massey in the flat and he's off to the races down to the one. MUS wins it 31-27, congrats they are State Champs!
ECS Wins Division 2-AA
Evangelical Christian School players burst through the banner against Knoxville Webb and never stopped. Despite having an early touchdown called back, ECS went on the record a 26-0 win. Everything went ECS' way after that. A long punt hit off a Webb player and Trey Jamison alertly recovered it. That led to their first touchdown when Harrison Hunt punhced it in. Congratulations they are the Division 2, AA state champs!
