Fresno State Accepts Liberty Bowl Bid

In College Football, one-half the Liberty Bowl Matchup is now set...

And it's another coup for Memphis..

The 16th ranked Fresno State Bulldogs accept a bid to play in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.

Fresno State is 8-and-2 on the season, and coming off one of the best games in College Football history, a 50-to-42 loss to Top Ranked and 2-time defending National Champion USC in Los Angeles.

The Liberty Bowl's Harold Graeter extended the invitation tonight in Fresno.

Coach Pat Hill's Bulldogs have averaged more than 9-wins a season over the past 5-years.

Fresno State will play the Champion of Conference USA in the Liberty Bowl on New Years' Eve.
