Grizzlies Snap Losing Streak

Losing three straight is no fun, especially if you can't score the basketball. The Grizzlies remedied both Saturday night against the Phoenix Suns with 91-87 win. Pau Gasol got his groove back early as the Grizzlies jumped out to an 8-0 lead. Pau had 11 points in the first quarter, 14 for the game.

Shane Battier was back on the court after missing the Laker game with a sprained index finger and provided a lift. He was one of 6 players in double figures with 13 points. Bobby Jackson was not, but hometown product Antonio Burks filled in just fine while Jackson watched with a strained hamstring, he knocked down several jumpers in the first half as the Grizz open up a 11 point lead. The Suns get hot before intermission going on an 18-6 run and had 1 point lead at the break. But this was the Grizzlies night, they snap the losing streak with a 91-87 win down the stretch.

The Grizzlies continue their 5 game home stand Monday night against Detroit.
