Tt was bound to come to end sometime. After all, it's been 33 years since a team went undefeated in the NFL and you better make it at least 34. The Colts bid to match the '72 Dolphins fell short, losing to the Chargers Sunday 26-17.
Peyton Manning's squad came in a perfect 13-0, the first team since the 1998 Broncos to do so. After a lousy first half they started playing. Manning rallied the Colts from a 16-0 3rd quarter defecit. They took a 17-16 lead on a 1 yard touchdown pass to Dallas Clark. Manning threw for 336 yards and was sacked four times.
The defense broke down in the 4th when Michael Turner took a handoff 83 yards for a touchdown. That sealed it and the Colts perfect season is over. They are now 13-1.
