Tuesday's Tiger basketball game a hot ticket

Tiger Basketball fans looking for tickets to Tuesday's big game against 8th-ranked Gonzaga, are out of luck. The game is sold out.

Tigers Head Coach, John Calipari and the Memphis Tigers are preparing for what some are calling the biggest game of the season. It's a hard sellout on national TV and the Tigers feel they have something to prove. Despite holding steady at 4th in this week's AP poll, many feel Memphis is the underdog. The Tigers may have to play tonight without starting point guard Darius Washington. He told Action News 5 yesterday his thigh bruise is still bothering him. It will be a game time decision whether he will play.

Tip-off is set for 6pm at FedExForum. If you don't have a ticket, you can catch the game on ESPN2. There will be many eyes across the nation watching that game and watching Memphis.

If you're thinking about getting tickets from a scalper, you should pay attention to scalping laws. There is no law against ticket scalping in Tennessee, but there is an ordinance that prohibits selling in certain locations.

People trying to sell tickets are not allowed to do so within the "security zone" designated outside a venue. Also, ticket takers seldom "rip" tickets anymore, instead just scanning the ticket's barcode. Many used tickets look the same as unused tickets because of this, but once a ticket has been scanned, it's useless. Officials recommend caution when buying tickets from a second-hand dealer.
