Police Investigate Triple Shooting

When police arrived at this house on the 3400 block of South Mendenhall they found a red Cadillac with three men shot. The car veered off Mendenhall and landed in Estina Francois front yard, "I saw the car in the yard but I didn't know what was happening."

Neither did police at first. Eventually two men were taken in critical condition to the Med and a third was pronounced dead on the scene. Brian Morris was friends with the dead man, "He was a good person, he wasn't involved in trouble."

For Morris, this isn't the first time he lost a friend, "I got a couple of friends that got killed this past year." Police shut down the area around the shooting, shutting Francois out of her home, "I want them to do their job because the gentlemen is laying down there and if it was my child I wouldn't want to disturb any investigation that need to be done."

Francois, who moved here from New Orleans after Katrina, says this is her second bad experience at this house in one month, "A car off the street hit her car and went in my yard and wrecked her car so i've had two little experiences.

I'm kind of wondering, maybe i'm in the wrong area." Now, police are trying to figure out exactly how this car landed here and how three men ended up shot.

Police say the victim 17-year-old Cedric Stanley.  Two suspects were scene fleeing the scene  and are being searched for by police at this time.
