It sure was a boring game but the Grizzlies could care less. Friday's 81-69 win over the New Jersey Nets was just that: a win. The Grizz went up 18 at the half thanks to a torrid 2nd quarter highlighted by by three 3-pointers from Mike Miller. He led Memphis with 18 points and a whopping 16 rebounds.
The game was never close again, with the Grizzlies leading by as many as 24 points in the 3rd quarter. The top ranked defensive team in the league held Net's star Vince Carter to just 14 points. The Nets had won 10 of 11 games entering tonight's game.
The Grizzlies hit the road immediately following the game for San Antonio. They'll play the defending NBA champs tomorrow night and then again Monday back here in Memphis.
