Aruban police search sand dunes for Natalee Holloway

ORANJESTAD, Aruba (AP) - Police in Aruba this week searched sand dunes on the island's northwest coastline for Clinton, Mississippi, native Natalee Holloway. The teen vanished on the island seven months ago.

Aruba's chief of police said more than 50 police officers searched a one-square-mile area about the size of eight soccer fields on Monday. But he said the search was suspended Tuesday because of a lack of manpower. Officers might resume the search as early as today.

Holloway, of Mountain Brook, Alabama, is the 18-year-old high school senior who was last seen on May 30th leaving a bar with three young men.

They were arrested in June and later released. Police have considered the sand dunes a place of interest since the investigation began and have searched them before.

Holloway was born in Memphis and has family living in the Mid-South.
