Grizzlies coach Mike Fratello feels his figured out a way to keep his team in the W column.
He using last nights' victory over Houston Monday as his blueprint for success.
Fratello made the move of inserting newly acquired point guard Chucky Atkins into the starting lineup, in place of Bobby Jackson..
Atkins responded nicely with a team high 19-points on 6-of-11 shooting with 3-assists and No turnovers.
Jackson, a former NBA 6th Man of the Year, had been forced into a starting role after the season ending injury to Damon Stoudamire.
His play as a sometimes explosive scorer notwithstanding, the Grizz had lost 7 of their last 10 games..thus sparking Fratello to shake things up..
A move met Jackson meets with mixed emotions.
<"You want my honest answer? No, I don't like it. But he's the coach and I have to respect his decision. I have to just not let it affect me and hopefully get better from it.">
Fratello says the Grizzlies played their best with Jackson and Mike Miller both coming off the Bench earlier in the season..
Memphis sprinted out to a 23-and-11 record with that combination.
The Grizzlies host the Dallas Mavericks Wednesday night at FedExForum.
