Grizzlies Send Two Players to "D"-League

The Memphis Grizzlies Roster just got lighter by 2-players...

But, they haven't been cut.

Thursday, the Grizzlies assigned little used rookies Lawrence Roberts, a late second round draft pick from Mississippi State, and Free-Agent Guard Anthony Roberson of Florida, to the Arkansas RimRockers of the NBA's Developmental League.

Roberson became expendable with the signing of Chucky Atkins...

Roberts, who had career highs of 8-points and 5-rebounds against Boston earlier this season, has given way off the bench to the Grizzlies top pick Hakim Warrick.

The RimRockers, who play in Little Rocks' Alltell Arena, currently have Atlanta Hawks Draftee Donta Smith on their roster, along with former Razorback guard Kareem Reid.

There are 20 NBA players assigned to D-League teams right now..

The RimRockers are 13-and-13 on the season.

They host Tulsa Friday night in Little Rock.
