Small plane crashes in Henry County

PARIS, Tenn. (AP) - The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed a small plane flying from Ohio to Texas crashed in a rural area of Henry County around noon today.

The Paris Post-Intelligencer newspaper reports one person was killed.

FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said the plane was a twin-engine Swearingen Metroliner with one person on board.

The plane is registered to TriCoastal Air Incorporated in Wilmington, Delaware.

Officials with the FAA are en route to the accident in the southeast portion of the county. Deputies with the Henry County sheriff's department are assisting.
