Tigers Stay Perfect On Road

The Tigers haven't lost on the road yet this year,a perfect 9-0 after Saturday's 91-81 win over Marshall. They are the only team in the country that can say that. A pesky Marshall team that beat 9th ranked West Virginia earlier this season, gave them a run for the money.

John Calipari conspicuously was not wearing a suit for the game like he usually does to honor Coaches for Cancer Week. The Thundering Herd had a 9 point lead early and stretched it to 10 when Travis Aikens went right up the middle for the bucket and foul to make it 39-29. The Tigers were out of sorts in the first half but they cut the lead to just one before half. Kareem Cooper returned to the floor and put back Darius Washington's miss, 44-43 Marshall at intermission.

In teh 2nd half, the Tigers depth wears 'em down. They retook the lead at 54-53 on a Darius Washington layup and they put the pedal down for there. DWash and Rodney Carney led the Tigers with 20 points each. The Tigers get the win 91-81 and stay perfect on the road.

They host Southern Miss, Tuesday night at FedExForum.
