Roddick Survives Another 3-Setter at The Racquet Club

Roddick wins second round match in Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Top-seeded Andy Roddick won his

second-round match tonight in the Regions Morgan Keenan

championships in Memphis.

He beat Wayne Arthurs of Australia 6-7, 7-6, 7-6.

Scottish teenager Andy Murray continued where he left off last

week by overcoming Germany's Rainer Schuettler 1-6, 7-5, 6-2.

Murray won his first career title in California last weekend,

beating Lleyton Hewitt and Roddick.

Second-seeded Nicolas Kiefer, the 2004 runner-up, withdrew with

sinusitis, and was replaced in the main draw by South African Rik

de Voest.

In women's play, third-seeded Sofia Arvidsson of Sweden ousted

two-time champion Lisa Raymond 6-4, 6-4 in the second round.

Raymond won the Memphis title in 2002 and 2003, and was

runner-up in 2004.
