The Mid-South Fugitive Task Force is a joint effort between three law enforcement agencies: the Memphis Police Department, the Shelby County Sheriff's Department and the U-S Marshals Service of Western Tennessee.

At a press conference Friday, U.S. Marshal David Jolley  said all three contribute officers, deputies and marshals.  "When everybody pools their resources and comes together for a good common purpose it works," he said.

Right now, the task force is looking for three men: Robert Lee King is wanted for First Degree Murder and Criminal Attempt First Degree Murder. Markell Lashun Stewart also know as Markell Watkins Criminal Attempt First Degree Murder. Bryan Lee Fitz is wanted for Criminal Attempt First Degree Murder and Especially Aggravated Robbery.

Captain Newt Schaeffer with the Shelby County Sheriff's Office says the team works well together.

"When we can farm some of the priority warrants out with people committing the same types of crime, we impact crime," he said.

The six member task force works on no more than thirty warrants at a time in order to stay focused, familiar and they hope one step ahead of those for whom they're looking.

If you have information on someone the task force may be seeking, call 901-544-3304.
