Tigers Win C-USA Tournament

It's a good evening indeed sports fans. For the first time since 1985, the Memphis Tigers win both their conference and conference tournament. They put the icing on a terrific season Saturday morning, downed UAB 57-46 to win the C-USA tournament.

Shawne Williams led Memphis offensively with 18 points, while Joey Dorsey led the charge on defense. Dorsey had 10 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks, helping to hold UAB to just 27 percent shooting in the game.

The Tigers (30-3) have most likely secured a number one seed in the upcoming NCAA tournament. The pundits predict Memphis in the Oakland region with the first two rounds being played in Dallas.  The Tigers will find out for sure tomorrow night at 5pm.
