Tigers Carney Falls Just Short in Slam Dunk Competition

The Tigers College Basketball season may be over, but Sr. Rodney Carney gets one more chance to represent the Blue and Gray Thursday Night.

Carney is taking part in the College Slam Dunk contest tipping off NCAA Final Four Weekend in his hometown of Indianapolis.

One of the most electrifying Dunkers in the game, Carney is testing his aerial acrobatics against the likes of Michigan States' Maurice Ager, North Carolina's David Noel, Cincinnati's James White, and others on ESPN.

The 6'7"Carney...no problem advancing to the semi-finals..but he slips on landing after his second dunk..and that possibly unnerves him a bit on his Last attempt to make the finals..

Going for the long distance runup..Carney takes off a full foot behind the 3-point line and just can't get it to go... He lands awkardly and decides to call it No Mas!

Carney ends up finishing 3rd in the competition..

North Carolina's David Noel beats Cincinnati's James white for the title.
