MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - The attorney for the son of a slain Alabama booster in Memphis says the younger man had nothing to do with it.
Attorney Steve Farese said Logan Young, III out about his father's death while watching TV.
There's still no motive or arrests in the slaying of Logan Young Junior. The method of death also has not been determined.
Police have not named any suspects.
Young was convicted last year of paying a high school coach to steer a recruit to Alabama.
He was well known in top social circles of Memphis as a boisterous, hard-partying football fan and heavy drinker. He had a reputation, too, for helping friends and associates in financial need.
