Grizz Lose Game One

The Memphis Grizzlies and their fans will have to wait a little longer for the franchise's first playoff win.  Game one in the NBA playoffs looked a lot like the last two years.  They watched the Mavs control the game from beginning to end and win it late Sunday night 103-93.  19 turnovers proved costly for Memphis.

The highly touted matchup between Grizzlies all-star Pau Gasol and Dirk Nowitzki took some time to materialize.  Gasol did not have a field goal in the first half before coming on in the second half, winding up with 24 points.  Nowitzki had 31 points.

The Mavs led 60-51 at the half.  The Grizzlies cut the lead to just 1 in the 3rd quarter after Bobby Jackson hit a 3 and Gasol made a couple free throws.  But the 4th quarter was not kind to Memphis, the Mavs opened up a 16 point lead and cruised to victory.

Game 2 is 7pm Wednesday night in Dallas.
