Six suspended Mississippi State football players who pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor assault of an off-duty police officer will be reinstated over the summer.
Bulldogs Coach Sylvester Croom made that announcement today.
Croom indefinitely suspended the players shortly after the incident.
He says the suspension will be lifted when the
players report this summer.
The players, all Freshmen, including former South Panola High star cornerback Derek Pegues, were each fined 500 dollars and received six-month suspended sentences for misdemeanor simple assault.
