Amber Alert canceled; Five-year-old found safe in Nashville

Overnight, TBI investigators canceled the Amber Alert for a five-year-old Tennessee girl.

Last night on Action News 5 at 10, we told you about the alert issued for little Tamar Wyatt.

Police say Wyatt turned up missing yesterday afternoon after going for a ride with her mother's roommate.

According to the Millersville Police Chief, Todd Gilbert took off with Wyatt after telling her mother he was taking her to McDonald's.

Overnight, police told us Gilbert instead took Wyatt to his friend's house, then to Elliston Place-- a popular shopping area in Nashville where he was asking people for money.

That's where investigators caught up with the two around 11 o-clock last night.

Investigators arrested Gilbert and charged him with kidnapping, child endangerment and driving on a suspended license.
