Morning shooting leaves one dead

It's an update to breaking news you first saw on Action News Five at Noon on Thursday.

A deadly shooting happened Thursday near the busy intersection at Yale and Frayser Raleigh Roads, in broad daylight, just after ten in the morning.

Witnesses said a shootout between men who had parked at a service station, and the driver of another car that took off.  One man ran before being gunned down in the middle of the intersection.

Anguished relatives arriving at the scene could not believe what had happened to the 19 year old they called Rodney.

It is not clear what the argument was about. Police investigators say they are looking at possible gang activity.  No one has yet been charged in this case but investigators did pick up two men in a maroon car in Millington and took them in for questioning.
