Police charge man with exposing himself to school kids

A man charged with exposing himself outside a Memphis school is in jail tonight.

Police say Gary Lee Anderson exposed himself seven times between April 30 and May 24.

It happened in the morning before school, just as children were walking to nearby Bellevue Junior High and Bruce Elementary. Crossing guards Marcina Bradshaw and Angelus Gibson witnessed each incident and said they were shocked and frightened.

"The first time I saw him, I was a little scared...scared for myself, and for the kids as well," said Angelus Gibson, crossing guard.

Parents picking up students on this last day of school were upset that they were just finding out about the incidents after they'd been going on for a month, but say they are glad the suspect is off the streets.
