Former Tigers Basketball Star Shawne Williams says he's ready for the Pros. As a matter of fact, he told NBA website Hoopshype.com "I'm a future All-Star." Williams, who got high marks in his workout for the Sixers yesterday, says he won't go to the NBA's big Pre-Draft Camp in Orlando, because he feels the 8-to-10 workouts he already has scheduled will tell the tale. He says he's patterned his game as a cross between NBA 6th Man of the Year sharpshooter Mike Miller, and the ridiculously athletic Rashard Lewis.
Williams credits the Tigers John Calipari with getting him prepared for the Pros, and says Coach Cal told him the time was right for him to go. Williams tells Hoopshype don't be surprised if 3-Tigers are taken in the first round. Sr. Rodney Carney is projected as a lottery pick..but Sophomore Darius Washington is not even guaranteed a second round selection.
