NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - An $800,000 Powerball prize will go unclaimed unless the holder of the winning ticket steps forward today.
The ticket was bought in Memphis for the Dec. 10 drawing, Tennessee Lottery officials said.
Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize, making today the deadline for the ticket.
The winning ticket matched the numbers 03-21-34-42-45 and the Powerball was 39 to win a $200,000 prize.
The ticket was also purchased with a Power Play option and the prize was multiplied by four.
The ticket must be claimed and verified at the Nashville office of the Tennessee Lottery.
Current state law requires that once prizes are officially unclaimed after 180 days, half the money goes to after-school programs and half is used for future prizes.
