Boys and Girls Club members from Jackson, Tennessee experienced a scary moment on their bus ride home from a Friday visit to the Memphis Zoo.
When the bus, carrying 68 kids, attempted to make a U-turn, the driver lost control and struck a pole off Summer Avenue near National.
Numerous ambulances from the Memphis Fire Department were dispatched to the scene. According to the Scott Toney, Executive Director of the Jackson-Madison County Boys and Girls Club, 17 children were transported to Lebonheur, none with serious injuries.
The Boys and Girls Club dispatched a charter bus to transport the remaining students back to Jackson.
