Redbirds Rained Out, Cards win

The Memphis Redbirds were rained out Sunday afternoon against Omaha. They'll make it with a double header Monday night at AutoZone Park starting at 6:10pm.

The parent St.Louis Cardinals swept the Rockies at Busch Sunday, 4-1.  Scott Rolen blasted a 2-run home run in the first inning to set the tone. Rolen has been re-hot since Albert Pujols went down, he's batting (.378) in his last 10 games. Rolen later later made a great defensive play as well, backhanding a ball at 3rd and throwing across the diamond to get Garrett Atkins.

The Cards win their 4th straight. They play the Chicago White Sox next, Tuesday in Chicago.
