Ole Miss Sophomore Zach Cozart will represent the United States in the World University Championships later this Summer. The former Collierville High star earned a spot on the 22-man roster after his play in team trials last week in New Hampshire. He hit .600, going 6-for-10 with 3-runs scored and an RBI.
Cozart earned All-American honors with the Rebels this year. Also making the U.S. squad is Arkansas All-American pitcher Nick Schmidt. The Sophomore lefty went 9-and-3 with a 3.01 ERA. His 145 strikeouts are second most in Razorback history. Tennessee Catcher J.P. Arencibia makes the team as well.
The World Games are in Havana, Cuba in August.
