Darius Washington Finds NBA Home with Rockets

It didn't take long for former Memphis Tigers Guard Darius Washington to find an NBA home, at least for the Summer.

Snubbed in the draft, and his college career over after signing with an agent, DWash quickly signed as a Free Agent with the Houston Rockets..

He's already made THEIR summer league roster.

DWash says it's a team best suited for his talents.

Washington says the Rockets play an uptempo style he'd love to play. Houston Assistant Coach Larry Thibodeaux says the 6'2" guard can definitely score in this league. His point guard skills are still developing, but he's a hard nosed defender and a real competitor.

DWash and the Rockets open their Summer League play tomorrow in Las Vegas.
