Roberts Shoots Record Round at Open

Memphian Loren Roberts has taken the Champions tour by storm since turing 50 last Summer. he has 3 wins and 10 top ten finishes this season only heading into this week's U.S. Open.  Roberts made a big move Saturday to catapult into contention.  He fired an 8 under par 62 at the Prairie Dunes Country Club, in Hutchinson, Kansas. It's the lowest round ever shot in an open.

Roberts came in tied for 15th, 7 strokes off the lead. But  on 17 he rolled in a 30 foot putt for birdie to get it to 5 under par for the tournament.  He's 3 strokes behind Tom Watson in 3rd place heading into the final round.
