When the Green Flag drops on this years' O'Reilly 200 at the Memphis MotorSports Park...Brendan Gaughan will feel confident he can break his driving drought.
You see, Gaughan drove his number 77 Blue and White Orleans Dodge close to victory here last year...
He finished 3rd when the checkered flag fell in 2005...the best placement in his career on the Nascar Crafstman Truck series.
2006 has been a bit a of disappointment.
Not a top 10 finish in sight, and a couple he did not finish..
Nope, doesn't do a whole lot for your confidence.
But, for him, as long as there's Memphis, there's always hope.
Gaughan says 'Dodges are having trouble on the big tracks. But at Memphis that's all out the window. That's why we're looking at this race to re-focus ourselves, that we are A-list team and we're going to prove it here in Memphis.'
The Nascar Craftsman Truck Series O'Reilly 200 gets underway Friday with Practice Laps at Memphis MotorSports Park.
The Race itself is under the Lights Saturday night 8:15pm at MMP.
