The Memphis Police Department said Friday a second body had been found in the area where the former Mall of Memphis once stood.
Friday afternoon, investigators found the skeletal remains of the body. Homicide investigators, CSI, and the Shelby County Medical examiner's office searched the area and said they recovered 90% of the remains of the body. They found no immediate clues as to the race, age, or manner of death.
Wednesday, similar skeletal remains were discovered in the same area. Investigators believe those remains to be that of a female, 35 to 50 years of age, possibly African-American, that was stabbed to death. The investigation into that death is continuing.
