Imagine sitting in a truck with no air conditioning, wearing a firesuit, in 100 degree temperatures! Well that's what drivers will face tomorrow night at the O'Reilly 200. Drivers were at Memphis Motor Sports Park today getting ready for the big race. In a move to help alleviate the heat problem, the race will once again be run at night.
David Reutiman finished 2nd at Memphis last year and is currently sitting third in points in the Craftsman truck series. He says the heat is annoying but they'll deal with it.
"It can't be perfect out there all the time. But there is some air that blows in the car and when you get the 3 layers of clothing soaked in sweat, it keeps you cool enough."
Qualifying starts at 5pm Saturday night with the race set for 8:15 at the Memphis Motorsports Park.
