It was all right there for Memphian John Daly...
A chance to play on in one of the Worlds' Great golf tournaments...
A Major who's title he already lays a claim to..
Off we go to Hoylake, England and the second round of the British Open.
Daly, who fired an even par 72 on day one, looked in good shape for the weekend after this Putt for Eagle on the 16th...
That put him 2-under par and ahead of the projected cut...
But on the 18th, Daly's Grip it and Rip it style on the drive fails him..
It goes out of bounds..
Daly takes a Triple-Bogey on the hole..
He misses the cut by one stroke.
Now to that fella, Tiger Woods.
The Defending British Open Champ playing like he wants to win it again.
Woods with a 25-footer for Birdie to go -7.
He backs that up with a 12-foot birdie on 11 for the lead at 9-under.
Then, this incredible shot.. Off the Fairway, Tiger fires a 205 foot approach that bounces and rolls up to and into the hole for an EAGLE..
Woods shoots a course record tying 65..
Tigers' 132 in the first 2-rounds is his Lowest 2-day total ever in a major.
Woods is 12 under..
He's never lost a major when leading after 2-rounds..
Ernie Els and Chris DeMarco also shoot Record tying 65's.
Both John Daly and Memphian Shaun Micheel go over par and miss the cut.
