Two shot in afternoon home invasion

Memphis Police are investigating a Wednesday afternoon home invasion.

Investigators said that early Wednesday afternoon, four men armed with guns forced their way into a home on Brooklyn, just off East Parkway.  As the men entered the home, chaos ensued and shots rang out.

Officials said up to 8 people may have been in the house at the time of the shooting.  Two people were shot, one critically, and both were taken to the hospital.  Another woman was injured in the melee.

"It was loud.  It sounded like a big gun," said Trina Taylor, a witness to the attack. "They came running."

Investigators said the suspects fled the scene in a car belonging to one of the victims: a 2001 Dodge Durango, purple and blue in color with 20 inch rims, and Tennessee license 126-FHX.

If you see this vehicle, or have information that could aid police in their investigation, call Crimestoppers at 528-CASH.
