Anthony Reyes Triumphant in Return to Redbirds

It's been mostly a down season for the Memphis Redbirds this year...

But, there have been a few bright spots, mainly in callups of several players to the Big Club in St. Louis..

One of those players is pitcher Anthony Reyes...

The flat billed cap wearing Californian has worn out I-55 between here and Missouri..\

His dominant play at the Triple-A- level..

That, coupled with the Cardinals pitching problems, earned him numerous starts in the Majors..

His been both Brilliant, and batted around in compiling a 4-and-6 record in 12-starts with a 4.73 ERA.

His record in the Minors, stellar...

Reyes is 4-and-1 with the Redbirds with a 3.01 Earned Run Average.

After the weekend callup of Mark Mulder, Reyes was back on the Mound in Memphis last night..

He starts for the Redbirds against the Round Rock Express..

No runs on a season high 9-strikeouts in 6 innings.

Redbirds beat the Express..

Final 4-3.

The Redbirds continue their final homestand Wednesday night, 7:10pm against Nashville at AutoZone Park.
