More than a dozen units in an East Memphis apartment complex went up in flames overnight.

The fire broke out at the Kirby Station Apartments on Quail Hollow near Kirby Parkway just after midnight.

Witnesses said flames could be seen shooting through the roof of one of the buildings.  Fire officials at the scene said at least 16 apartment units were burned in the massive fire.

Officials at the scene did not release a cause for the fire, which caused nearly $900,000 in damage to the complex.  One person was transported from the scene in non-critical condition after jumping out of a second story window.
