Memphis police locate missing officer's car

New developments in the case of a missing police officer.

We now know Memphis police are one step closer to finding Officer Tony Hayes.

Late last night police found Hayes' car in the parking lot at the Lynnfield Place Apartments in East Memphis.

Homicide investigators developed information that lead them to the 1999 Lexus LX-300.

The hunt for Hayes heated up when he didn't show up for work at the West precinct where he is a patrol officer.

Police say it's not like Hayes to miss work.

He's married with a 12 year old son.

He's been a Memphis police officer for ten years.

Memphis police Director Larry Godwin and the Homicide Bureau will hold a press conference on the findings this morning at 9:15 am.
