Rebels Offense Sputters Vs. Missouri

The Rebels sure felt good after the season opening win over Memphis. But as joyous as that was, Saturday's performance against Missouri was equally demoralizing. The Rebels traveled to Columbia for a 34-7 to the Tigers. Mizzou jumped out to a 17-0 lead, behind quarterback Chase Daniel who ran for 1 touchdown and threw for another.  He had 332 yards in total offense, 243 passing.

Brent Schaffer got Ole Miss on the board in the 2nd quarter when he found Marsha Green on a little screen that turned into something big. He scored a 40 yard touchdown, but that was the only touchdown the Rebels would score.

Schaeffer completed just 13-29 passes for 90 yards and was intercepted 3 times. Running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis was held to 69 yards on the ground.
