Tate named to fill District 33 democratic senate ballot

Late Thursday evening, the Shelby County Democratic party voted in a replacement candidate to run for the district 33 state senate seat in November.

Reginald Tate will fill the democratic ballot vacated by former senator Kathryn Bowers.  Tate will now face Republican Michael Floyd in the November 7th election.

Bowers resigned earlier this month citing health reasons...her resignation left a hole on the Democratic ticket for the District 33 senate seat.
