JOHNSON SPACE CENTER (AP) - Wednesday's space shuttle landing is being delayed, in part because of an object that may have come out of the cargo bay.
A video camera inside the bay picked up the sight, transmitting the image back to the ground crew. The questions now are what is it, and exactly how did it wind up out there?
NASA officials say the object has been circling the Earth in the same orbit as the shuttle. They can't tell how big it is, but because some jets had just been fired, shaking the orbiter, NASA thinks it may have come from the cargo bay.
Citing concerns over this development -- as well as bad weather at the Florida landing site -- NASA says Atlantis will land Thursday instead of tomorrow.
