JACKSON, Tenn. (AP) - A Madison County jury on Monday sentenced a 42-year-old man to death for killing his estranged wife and two other workers at a Tennessee Department of Transportation garage last year.
On Saturday, the jury found David Lynn Jordan guilty on all 10 counts he faced in connection with the shooting on Jan. 11, 2005.
During the trial, a number of witnesses - including two Jordan wounded - gave detailed, emotional testimony about the shootings that officials believe may have been motivated by jealousy.
Johnny Emerson, a co-worker of Donna Renee Jordan, the estranged wife, testified that he had a "special relationship" with the woman, in which they "only hugged and kissed."
The husband confronted him about the relationship and Emerson said he ended it a week before the shooting.
