Third Saturday in October Coming for Vols, Tide

There have been 89-games between Tennessee and Alabama in Football.

The 90th meeting takes place this weekend, which appropriately enough, is the third Saturday in October in Knoxville.

The Vols are well rested, coming off a huge win at Georgia which propelled them to 11th in the first BCS poll of the season.

Alabama struggled to beat Ole Miss at Home last week in Overtime.

No matter...

The History of the series is what makes it soo colorful for the fans..

A History UT Coach Phil Fulmer says, is all to often lost on the one who play in it.

Fulmer says:

'Anybody who has ever worn the orange and white or the maroon and white knows what this game means. But when you're talking to 18-20 year olds history only goes back 5 years.

Others know the priviledge of this magnitiude.'

Kickoff for the Vols and Tide is 2:30 Saturday afternoon at Neyland Stadium.
